Himeko (Solar Priestess)/ Chikane (Lunar Priestess)

This story is about two teenage girls who find themselves in the middle of a great disaster in which they have the power to stop.According,to the story Himeko and Chikane are the reincarnated priestesses of the sun and the moon and that for centuries they have defeated and sealed away the Orochi,who seeks to destroy the human world.The Orochi is an evil creature with eight heads which means that in this story it has eight followers to represent each head.All eight have a deep darkness within them that let's them be manipulated by the Orochi,all except one.

Now here comes our knight in shining armor, Soma, who also happens to be the seventh head of the Orochi. At first,Soma tried to kill Himeko but,of course, he has a major crush on her and combined with her awakening priestess powers she was able to help him break the Orochi's control over him.After,defeating one of other heads he declares that until the fighting has finally stopped he will protect Himeko till his last breathe.Soma is constantly pulled by the ever occurring darkness within him and tries very hard not to obey the Orochi's demands.

In order to stop the Orochi from destroying the world,the girls must summon the sword god who is the only one that can stop it.They must keep repeating a certain ritual that breaks several swords and once all the swords are broken the sword god will appear before them.The time between all of that gets really dangerous,fun and interesting. For we find that not only is Soma is in love with Himeko but so is Chikane.Girochi also had a crush on Himeko as well but he doesn't really count as competition.Also,when it came to him I think it was more like lust than love.

During the entire show I was trying to guess who she'll end up with,Soma or Chikane? I thought it was a very hard decision for her because they were both perfect in the show.Before,all of this chaos happened Soma and Chikane were both idols of the school and were so perfect that everyone thought that they were perfect for each other.Of course,those were just rumors and they only consider each other as friends.All during the show I thought that Soma and Himeko would end up together because they have been getting closer and closer to each other the longer the show went on.

My favorite characters in this story would have to be Tsubasa and Nekoko I know their both bad guys but I just loved watching them.Tsubasa was the cool leader and strongest of the eight heads. I loved how he revealed himself to everyone and how important he made himself to be.Next, is Nekoko who is this playful,child like cat girl that does nothing but play around all day. The whole time I wondered how this little,upbeat, child-like girl ended up becoming a Orochi.I'm so glad that they ended up showing us a glance of their pasts to kind of hint us at what had drove them over the edge.The only past that they completely showed would have to be Tsubasa's.

During this anime lots of mecha and hand on hand combat occur and so does a lot of romance and betrayal.I won't tell you who betrayed who and why, your just going to have to see for yourself. When the ending finally came I was sad and frustrated but glad a happy ending came out of it in the end.I think they should have done an alternative ending or at least given us the full run down of all of the members of the Orochi's past.I was very curious about most of them and just getting a two second flashback wasn't enough for me I wanted to see more.This is a very interesting anime and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have.
