This story is about a girl named Feng Lan who lives in the year 2100.In this story, everyone is getting excited over this new game called "Second Life".Our main heroine wasn't really into new games she was pretty much comfortable with what she was already playing until her brother says that she wouldn't be able to survive the game or even beat it.Feng ended up getting so mad that she made a bet with her brother that not only will she thrive within the game but also beat the game way before he can.Also, keep in mind folks that her brother just bought this game so,fortunately, for her they can start at the same time.She uses this to her advantage by sneaking on her gear for the game and starts before he does.
Now when I first saw the 1/2 prince I was trying to guess what the title meant.Did it mean the prince was a transgender? Did he have multiple personalities or something? I finally got my answer when Feng entered the game.It turns out that Feng got the rare chance to become either a boy or a girl.In Second life, every one had to enter the game looking like themselves, so no switches in gender,hair or skin color,etc the only thing that you can chose is your race which I think sucks a lot.She chose to be a boy because she didn't want to be recognized by her brother in the game and chose to be a beautiful elf, she even changed her name.
When she first starts out, I realize that she did what I think is a very rookie video gamer move, she didn't read the manual or try to find out what the game was about.Basically, she doesn't even know the goal of the game and because she isn't used to that kind of technology she didn't know what she would be experiencing while playing.Of course, when she first started out she was weak as hell and needed to level up fast.But, good luck must be labeled to her forehead because she gains an ally,gets a rare and ultra powerful sword and gets a scary reputation where she is called the Blood Elf because of how brutal and scary she is in battle all in one day.
Later,she gains more members and call themselves Odd Squad, which they were so the name kind of fits. They got along very well and tried very hard to protect each other and level up faster.In Second Life, you can get pets so they can help you fight and I thought she was going to get a cool and powerful pet like her sword but ends up getting a talking Meat bun who she calls Meat bun.Its not like she went to the store and bought her (yes, Meat bun is a she) she obtained Meat bun after beating a boss.Also, I think she gets another pet, I'm not really sure because he doesn't act like he's a pet.Anyway,she gains Kenshin a powerful swordsman but he's totally doesn't know anything about how the world he lives in works, which I thought was strange seeing as he was created inside the game.
Later, in the game people start to notice strange things happening within the game and they all start to really suspicious when one of the great lords goes missing.They then discover that a NPC that calls himself the Lord of Life plans on deleting all of the humans in the game.People thought that if they did get deleted they can just come back and start all over.Unfortunately, if you get deleted by the Lord of Life then you can't come back ever.That's when Feng rallied her group and other players that wanted to fight for their right to stay in this world plus she didn't want to lose the friends that she gained while playing the game.
I didn't think she was going to make it honestly considering the fact of how many people were dying around her.But, I noticed that the Lord of Life had a certain interest in her and wanted for her to come find him. The whole thing screamed trap to me but what choice did she have.When I saw the Lord of Life for he first time I was drooling because he was a total hottie! Meat bun seemed to like him very much as well and that's when everything is revealed but I'm not going to tell you what happened, your going to have to read it to find out (he he he).
I just wish this manga would update all the way to the end so I can see how it ends. Their last update kind of ended at a cliffie which I was incredibly mad about and hope new chapters will come out soon. Why does it take so long to put new chapters up anyway? Is it because their are a lot of other animes out there? Anyway, I got really hooked on this story and I think you guys will really like it.
