Cardcaptors

I thought this anime was totally adorable! I loved the story and the art from the beginning to the end. The story starts out with this little girl, Sakura, who stumbles upon the Clow Cards inside the ancient Clow book.Sakura awakens the power within the cards and they scatter across the city causing all sorts of chaos,but that was not all that came out from the book. A spirit beast who calls himself Cerberus but was later nicknamed Kero also came out of the mysterious Clow book and explained what just happened.

According, to Kero she activated the Clow Card and must now become a cardcaptor so she can stop and capture them.Of course, she refuses at first,I mean that's a pretty tall order for a 10 year old girl.She later becomes a Cardcaptor after she witnesses first hand what they can do.She knew that if she just sat around and did nothing while the Clow Cards ran amok then a lot of people could get hurt and she couldn't have that on her conscious.

At first,I wondered why Kero couldn't just do it himself considering the fact that he's a guardian beast and all.The answer to that question was quickly revealed when Kero explained that,even though, he is a guardian beast he does not have the power to capture Clow Cards.His master,Clow Reed, is the only person that he knows that is powerful enough to stop him, but he is said to be dead.Sakura is,basically, on her own for a while until she gets a few Clow Cards that will bend to her will and help her anyway they can.

I loved almost all of the costumes that her best friend,Rika, made for her.She made these cotumes for when she went Clow Card hunting.Each one was unique to each battle that she faced with a perticular Clow Card.I could tell Rika loved her job as Sakura's unofficial costume designer and camerawoman.

One of my favorite moments in this anime was when Syaoran Li came into the picture.He hated Sakura with a passion because he believes that because he is Clow Reed's Descendant that he should be the one to inherit the Clow Cards and then declared himself Sakura's rival.Later, she gains another rival,Meiling Li, who an awesome martial artist and Syaoran's cousin,chilhood friend and fiancee.Once,Meiling heard that Syaoran had went away to capture the Clow Cards,she went searching for him.But,after she found him with our adorable Sakura she became jealous of her and kept getting in the way any way she could.These two made it really hard for poor Sakura to do her job.

This story was awesome,the characters were well thought out.I also liked the Clow Cards themselves my personal favorites would have to be the fire and water cards.I really liked the human like magical creatures that came out of the cards.This anime created a lot of twists and turns that I liked in this anime.I liked how they tried to make things interesting by creating mysterious characters.My favorite twist would have to be when Yue,Clow Reed's other guradian beast, was revealed.This anime would have to be one of my favorites and I can't see anyone not liking anything about it.I would recommend this anime to all anime fans of the world.
