I loved watching Ranma 1/2 for 4 reasons:
1.The martial arts
2.Watching Ranma, his father and Ryoga transform
3.The love rivals
4.Having the same creator
Yes, the creator who made Inuyasha and Ranma are one and the same and I applaud her efforts into bringing these animes to light. The story seems to be about a 16 year boy named Ranma (obviously) who was being trained in martial arts by his father, when suddenly they accidentally fell into the springs that they were fighting above. Now they come out unscathed, sort of, they weren't injured but they were both shocked to realize that their forms had completely changed.Ranma was changed into a girl and his father became a panda.Later, they learned that the springs were cursed and the only way to change them back was to pour themselves into cold water, but they would transform into their other forms when they touch hot water.
Knowing that they would, probably, have to live this way forever they decide to visit old friends in Tokyo. That's where Ranma meets Akane a 16 year old hot-headed girl with some serious marital art skills and a passion for hating men. They both end up getting a shock of their lives when they both learn that they are betrothed. This news definitely motivated them both into making it their life's mission to hate each other at all costs and never marry, but I think they were meant to be.I think they were made for each other because their both hot tempered, they both hide what their really feeling, both can fight really well and as a extra plus for Ranma he now knows what its like to be a girl and now knows the different problems that come with it.
I loved the story, the humor, romance and violence that was mixed together in this.I also liked how even though the soon-to-be-newlyweds acted like they hated each other but when one or the other was in trouble the other would come to the rescue or when a love rival was pinning after the other they got jealous and tried to separate them. So, I think for these two actions are speaking louder than words, even though, neither is listening to those either.
Ranma is an anime and a manga and are both complete. This show was quite lengthy which every good anime should be.I don't quite remember if it ever showed that they got married or not nor do I recall them ever breaking the curse. We all know that these two are going to end up together its just a matter of time.
