This wonderful love story is about a high school girl named Mui who has a very strong crush for Amamiya, the kindest, generous and most handsome boy in school. She gets so tired of looking at him from afar that she borrows a book about granting wishes from an old bookstore. She then waits for the perfect opportunity to cast the spell and ask for her wish but what she didn't expect was what was going to come out of it.
This handsome looking devil appears before her out of thin air and then claims to be Satan himself! I loved the look on her face when he said that I could tell what was going through her mind.It was "How did this wish granting ceremony turn out to becoming a devil summoning ceremony?" He then says that he will grant her wish in giving her Amamiya's heart but in return she must give up her virginity to him.Of course, the devil would want that out of all things.
She,relunctantly, agrees to this and then the story progresses in Satan's many attempts in getting the boy to fall in love with her.He even goes so far as to go in disguise as Kai, Mui's older brother who has been absent because he has an illness. Kai tries and tries again in using his magic to enchant Amamiya into falling in love with Mui but it doesn't seem to work, so he decides to do this the old fashion way. But, as the story goes even further, he didn't count on many things to happen and I guess one of them has to be him falling for her himself. But, even though, he's deveopling his own crush for her, he still must complete the contract no matter how much he doesn't want to.
Their are a lot of feelings left unsaid in this manga and yes its only a manga.I liked the twists and turns that happen in this story but for some twists I wasn't very surprised at.I'm not going to tell you what they are because that's just going to reveal the whole story. When it comes to love Kai is very cruel with it and I think Mui is very strong when it comes to her trying to handle the situation. But, I also thought she a bit of a dumb blonde when she wouldn't even investigate what was happening and would just accept what other people were saying when she should have gotten it from the source. On the other hand, I thought it was mostly Kai's fault for not clearing up the mess and just letting her sit there and waiting for her to figure it out on her own and when doesn't figure it out in time he does something cruel to her that ends up hurting her mentally and physically, but strangely it also puts his point across to her.You know how people say actions speak louder than words, well for Kai its his actions hurt more than his words, literally.
I wouldn't be very surprised to see Mui choosing Amamiya in the end whenever I see Kai put her in an emotional rollercoaster so many times in this story. But, on the other hand,I think its his way of saying of how much he loves her.I thought after the story ended, they should have made an alternate ending to see what would happen if she would have chosen the other person.I really loved this magical and dark love story and I hope, as I alway do, that you love it,too.

Princess Resurrection
This anime is exactly what the name implies, theirs a princess and a resurrection and it seems to revolve a very unlucky boy named Hiro. This boy came to the city to visit his older sister,Sawawa, who has gotten a job as a maid in a old haunted looking mansion on top of the hill.On his way there, he encounters a beautiful blonde girl in a princess outfit. When I say princess outfit I don't mean pink or white with glitter and frills. No all this girl was wearing was a black gothic dress, black gloves,a tiara and an evil grin on her face.
But,even though, she stood out in a bit of a creepy way Hiro thought that she was the most beautiful girl he has ever seen and that's the last thing he saw before being pumbled by a stack of falling steel beams.Next thing he knew he wakes up in a morgue and the only thing going through his mind his that he needs to get to his sister's workplace. When he gets there he encounters the girl he saw again only this time she's fighting...with a pack of werewolves!
When the fighting finally ends she tells Hiro that her name is Hime and that she is the princesss of the monster realm and that he is her undead servant and must protect her at all costs. He doesn't really believe her at first and tries to get out of it but then she tells him that if he doesn't get the magic that brought him back to life from her every couple of days then he'll die again. Also, him being worried for his sister's safety while working for the gothic princess he didn't have much of a choice.
This series goes on as he quite pitifully but faithfully tries to save her from being harmed in any way possible. They battle werevolves, sea creatures, vampires, etc in almost every episode and I love each and every battle scene. But, what I don't understand is why Hiro didn't get any powers while becoming her undead servant you would think he would get something out of this being that he was dragged into her problems.Besides, the fact that he can come back to life whenever she wished, he really didn't get much else.I thought he should have gotten some super speed or something because he was really sucking at protecting her the only real thing he could do was becoming her shield.
Now his sister,Sawawa, really amazes me when it came to how oblivious and calmn she was about everything that happened around her. This girl doesn't really notice anything besides concerning herself with her maid duties. She doesn't notice the boys in town checking her out,the assassins, monsters, blood splatters or claw marks on the walls, the fact that her brother gets beat up to a pulp, nothing! But,notices when Hime hasn't eaten. This is probably why Hime keeps her around in the first place she does her job without getting involved her other affairs.
Speaking of sisters in this story Hime's little sister comes to town trying to kill her.If you don't already know its because all of the siblings in her family are trying to kill each other for the throne.Anyway, later these two gothic sisters form an alliance till their other sibling are taken down.Meanwhile, she has made her own little mansion down the street from her sister with her android servant. Also, Hime's sister seems to have taken a liking to Hiro and wants him to be her"knight in shining armor" and protect her forever, fat chance of that happening.
This group meets some very interesting and dangerous characters that Hiro hopes he never sees again, but we all know he does. This story is an anime and a manga so you can choose one or the other or watch/read both.I thought it was very funny to watch and I love how each girl in the story has made up their own way to indimating Hiro.I also liked how the ending theme song kind of hinted that he will be tormented, humilated and manipulated by these women countless times. Its really fun to watch if you like watching a group of hot supernatural girls kicking monster butt left and right.

Psychic Detective
I recently just started reading this manga called Shinrei Tantei Yakumo and I got to say its really good. The characters were well thought out and the story that they made was very good. When I first read the summary it reminded me of the show Psych except that one of the people in the main pair of this story is a girl and the police not only let's them get involved in their cases but they also listen and take account of what the psychic,Yakumo, says.
Our main character is Yakumo who has since birth been able to see the souls of the dead with the help of his left red eye. After, his near death experience when his mother tried to kill him he later used his powers to help solve crimes so that the spirit involved could move on.On one case, he meets his self proclaimed partner,Haruka, who came to him because she heard of his talents and thought he could help one of her friends' that was in trouble. After, the case was solved she kept coming back and I think its because she liked helping him in solve cases and that she has developed a little crush on him.
What I ended up liking most about this manga was the adventure in solving the cases.I would get so excited and impatient when I thought that I have already solved the case about 20 pages ago, but in the end I end up being wrong.Well, I guess that goes to show that I wouldn't be very good at being a detective, but surely hope I get at least one right before it ends. Also, this manga is not complete and I am waiting patiently for the next update but this story is also an anime and hopefully that is complete.
Anyway,as they go from case to case they put some romance in it as well and I kind of laughed when they decided to make,Iishi, a clumsy, scaredy cat detective's assistant the love rival. Its obvious that he isn't going to win against Yakumo and it seems that Haruka doesn't even like him like that, she seems to be into the type of boys that are like Yakumo. So, if they decide to spice up the romance game a bit I would say they put another guy or girl in there, so that an intense jealousy could spike.
But,besides the romance I liked the mystery and not just the one's in that they try to solve.I'm talking about Yakumo's past.If you've already read the story or are going to you'll find that as a child his mother attempted to kill him but their were some things that stood out from there. For example, where or who is the father? Why didn't he try to stop his mother from killing him? Why is he going around manipulating people to the point of killing? Why does Yakumo hate him so much? There are also other questions that will come forth in this story but these are the ones I mostly think about and this is part of the reason why I'm still reading it.The other reason is to see if Haruka and Yakumo ever hook up in the end.

Ranma 1/2
I loved watching Ranma 1/2 for 4 reasons:
1.The martial arts
2.Watching Ranma, his father and Ryoga transform
3.The love rivals
4.Having the same creator
Yes, the creator who made Inuyasha and Ranma are one and the same and I applaud her efforts into bringing these animes to light. The story seems to be about a 16 year boy named Ranma (obviously) who was being trained in martial arts by his father, when suddenly they accidentally fell into the springs that they were fighting above. Now they come out unscathed, sort of, they weren't injured but they were both shocked to realize that their forms had completely changed.Ranma was changed into a girl and his father became a panda.Later, they learned that the springs were cursed and the only way to change them back was to pour themselves into cold water, but they would transform into their other forms when they touch hot water.
Knowing that they would, probably, have to live this way forever they decide to visit old friends in Tokyo. That's where Ranma meets Akane a 16 year old hot-headed girl with some serious marital art skills and a passion for hating men. They both end up getting a shock of their lives when they both learn that they are betrothed. This news definitely motivated them both into making it their life's mission to hate each other at all costs and never marry, but I think they were meant to be.I think they were made for each other because their both hot tempered, they both hide what their really feeling, both can fight really well and as a extra plus for Ranma he now knows what its like to be a girl and now knows the different problems that come with it.
I loved the story, the humor, romance and violence that was mixed together in this.I also liked how even though the soon-to-be-newlyweds acted like they hated each other but when one or the other was in trouble the other would come to the rescue or when a love rival was pinning after the other they got jealous and tried to separate them. So, I think for these two actions are speaking louder than words, even though, neither is listening to those either.
Ranma is an anime and a manga and are both complete. This show was quite lengthy which every good anime should be.I don't quite remember if it ever showed that they got married or not nor do I recall them ever breaking the curse. We all know that these two are going to end up together its just a matter of time.

Elfen Lied
The Elfen Lied story was very sexual and violent. It had a lot of nudity, sex, gore, violence and a little romance mixed into it.Other than the nudity scenes it was very entertaining, especially, the fighting scenes. This story is about a boy named Kouta, who starts living in Tokyo while trying to go to school along with his roommate and childhood friend Yuka.
One day, these two decide to take a walk on the beach when they just happen to find a naked teenage girl with horns on her head being washed up on the beach. They took the girl, who they later named Lucy, back to their place, cleaned her up and found that she not only has no memory of who or what she is.But, also has the mentality of a young child and their theory is confirmed when she wets herself on the hardwood floor. So, considering the fact that she has amnesia, can't seem to take care of herself and has no place left to go they decide let Lucy stay with them.
But,it turns out that Lucy is a gentically modified human which the government called the 'diclonius" and when she escaped from her cell she started killing people left in right till she ended up on the beach. Now the government is hunting her down and plans on taking her back....dead or alive. Also, I would like to mention that not only is she not human but also has a split personality. The innocent part of her that could do no wrong is Nyuu and the sadistic fighter in her is Lucy. With these two personalities combined she could, probably, make tons of friends and kill all of her enemies mercilessly at the same time.
Their were two things that I liked most about this show and that was watching the forgotten mental pieces of both Kouta and Lucy's past come together. The second thing was watching how Nyuu/Lucy and Yuka fought over who would get Kouta and I think Yuka's got a lot of guts to be fighting over a man with a powerful, horned diclonius that could rip her to pieces at any time. So, my advice to her would be to back off while she's ahead. What I didn't like about this show was that it was only 14 episodes which I think is too short for any anime, I thought they could make it last just a little bit longer.

Alucard, The Real Vampire
I loved the Hellsing series and main reason why was because their main vampire Alucard.I've got to give major props to him and to his creators that made this dark devil into a reality and put him out in the world for me and the rest of the world to see. This man is a real vampire and when you think of what a vampire should be the first person tat comes to mind better be Alucard and not no Edward. He's one of the great examples of what I think vampires should be proud, powerful and dark. Also, unlike Edward this guy will actually burn into a pitiful inferno when he touches sunlight instead of turning into a glittering disco ball.
But,anyway what I loved about this anime is the gore, violence and the dark mood it always portrayed and of course watching Alucard fight with that crazy look on his face.I also liked watching how no one seems to know how to kill him.For example, the other vampires had only to be shot to the head or heart to bring them down but for our main man here I don't even think drenching him in gasoline and then setting him on fire will kill him.
This anime is also a manga and they are both complete. So if your the type of person that likes gore, violence, people being torn to sheds, blood and watching awesome battles then this is the anime for you. So,right after reading this you should definitely give Hellsing a try and if you've already watched it, then watch it again!!

Absolute Boyfriend
This manga is about a girl named Riiko, who's self esteem has hit bottom after being rejected by so many good looking guys. In fact, her low esteem has gotten so low that she signed up for a free trial for a "Nightly Lover Figure". She really had no clue what she was signing up for and at that point she didn't really care till the next day a handsome, naked guy named Night was delivered to her house in a box.
This guy was everything that she ever wanted in a guy but their were a couple of problems that she somehow needed to solve.
1.He's a robot.
2.His price tag was close to a million dollars.
3.If she didn't return him before the free trial was up then she would have to pay up!!
Riiko wants to keep him but she doesn't want to pay a million dollars for him. What will she do will she keep him or not? I like Night too,but I don't think he's worth a million dollars in debt. Also, what about her handsome neighbor that's been keeping an eye on her? What do you think he'll do when he finds out she as a robot love doll?
I liked this manga very much and I also liked Night's persistence when it came to sex but he was nice about it and always remained loyal to her and I don't think this guy has one bone or bolt in his body that could hate Riiko even if she did decide to throw him away like a piece of trash.Of course, we all think that she should keep him. But,I liked seeing her reactions when anything sexual or embarrassing occurred. But,I wonder about her neighbor though and the whole time I was wondering if he liked her or not and if he did, why hasn't he asked her out yet?
